A Garden Sanctuary of Growth and Support for Cancer PatientsWelcome to a San Luis Obispo garden sanctuary that embodies hope and growth. We unite survivors, caregivers, and the steadfast backing of loved ones in a vibrant setting. In partnership with esteemed institutions like UCLA Oncology, Hearst Cancer Resource Center - Dignity Health, and Dignity Infusion Center, we offer solace and inspiration to cancer patients and survivors.
Our survivor volunteers plant flower seeds, grow them to maturity in our garden, cut the flowers, arrange them into bouquets in donated vases, and then distribute them to our cancer related charities, all the while enjoying the support and camaraderie of fellow cancer patients, survivors and volunteers. |
Volunteer, Heal, and Share Love through Gardening & Flowers
We, as cancer survivors, come together to support and inspire others in their cancer journeys through gardening. The garden serves as a healing sanctuary where patients find hope amid vibrant blooms.
Our mission is to empower survivors to volunteer in the garden, spreading hope throughout our community. Flower arranging classes led by survivors and volunteers create beautiful arrangements filled with love for cancer patients. This selfless act fosters support, personal growth, and an appreciation for life's fragility. In this space of resilience and compassion, we share love, touch lives, and make a meaningful impact on individuals and communities. Join us in the garden every Monday from 8:30-10:30 am with the Cancer Victory Garden Team |
